Job Description:

GMU Transportation & Distribution is seeking a dependable and experienced Class A CDL driver to join our hotshot trucking team. Drivers will be responsible for transporting time-sensitive loads safely and efficiently, ensuring proper load securement, and maintaining compliance with all DOT regulations. Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate Class A CDL truck to deliver hotshot loads across regional and long-haul routes
  • Secure and inspect cargo to ensure safety and compliance
  • Maintain accurate logs using ELDs and follow DOT guidelines
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status
  • Manage schedules to meet tight deadlines while prioritizing safety

Requirements

  • Valid Class A CDL license (required)
  • Clean driving record with proven safety history
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance standards
  • Experience with hotshot trucking or flatbed hauling preferred
  • Strong time management skills and ability to work independently
  • Physical ability to load/unload and secure freight
